Jarrett Kolthoff, President / CEO of SpearTip, has over 17 years of experience in the Information Security field. As a former Special Agent – U.S. Army Counterintelligence, he has experience in cyber investigations, counterintelligence, and fusion cell analysis that assist SpearTip’s clients to identify, assess, neutralize, and exploit the threats leveled against their corporation. His civil case work has included investigations in anti-trust lawsuits, embezzlement, collusion, theft of intellectual property and corporate espionage. He has testified in civil cases as an expert computer forensic witness in depositions and in the U.S. Federal Court – Eastern District of Missouri and has acted as a liaison between companies and law enforcement agencies.
He has led assignments throughout the United States with both national and international corporations. He continues to serve his community through membership with the Espionage Research Institute (ERI) and board membership as past-President of the St. Louis Infragard Chapter, and as the President of the St. Louis Chapter of the International High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA).
Michael Quinlan, COO / General Counsel of SpearTip, has over 26 years as a practicing attorney, including stints at a major St. Louis law firm and at a St. Louis-based Fortune 100 technology company. Prior to joining SpearTip, he was general counsel for a significant local healthcare provider. His private practice has included litigation of complex business disputes, transactions, entrepreneurial counseling, and employment matters. He has handled numerous cases involving the enforcement of restrictive employment covenants; and, he tried one of the earliest reported Missouri cases to involve the use of computer forensics.
Besides his management and legal roles with SpearTip, Quinlan provides guidance on litigation and evidentiary issues that arise in connection with investigations and other engagements. His legal expertise and litigation experience enable SpearTip to deliver services especially tailored to the unique legal ramifications of client needs.
Don Caniglia has been providing Information Systems Audit, financial/operational audit, information security consulting services and IT Audit and security training primarily to the financial services industry for more than 40 years. He has been a Certified Systems Auditor since 1984, Certified Information Security Manager since 2004 and in 2010 achieved the Certified Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) designation from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
He has better than 30 years direct experience in Banking and S&L operational Audit, IS Audit, Systems Support and Information Security, with the last 10 years providing IT Audit, Security and Compliance, Risk and Governance consultation services primarily to financial services industry.
Kristopher Bleich, Director of Forensic Services, has 15 years of military and civilian law enforcement, computer information security and computer forensic experience. He has extensive experience in criminal investigations and criminal computer forensic investigations. Kristopher has testified in various criminal cases including possession of child pornography and exploitation of a minor, along with other criminal cases as an expert computer forensic witness. Kristopher is certified to instruct law enforcement personnel in the seizing of electronic evidence through the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), along with being a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and certified as an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE).
Kelly Wacker graduated with a B.S. from Truman State in 1992 and received her Certificate of Paralegal Studies in 1993. Her experience ranges from working for a sole practitioner to working in corporations with over 10,000 employees. She has worked for attorneys in the areas of civil litigation, e-discovery, domestic, tax, corporate, criminal, probate, trust and IRA administration/compliance law. She is currently a member of the St. Louis Paralegal Association.
